TRADITIONAL CHINESE
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS
RECORDING!

We are currently recording some traditional Chinese musical instruments on a Film score composed by Greg Yu for the 3D animated feature film "ZHENG HE: THE DEVIL'S SEA!".
We have just finished four recording sessions with the yangqin, the pipa, and the ehru and we'll be recording different types of Chinese flutes tomorrow.

KER SOUND is currently working on the audio post production and original score of the 3D animated feature film "ZHENG HE: THE DEVIL'S SEA".

The movie is based on the story of Zhenghe, a Chinese navigator who sailed across the ocean seven times from 1405 to 1433.

Original motion picture soundtrack by Greg Yu.

Due in theater in mid-2012 in Mainland China!

JBL STUDIO MONITORS

We have just equipped our mixing stage with three JBL LSR 4328p studio monitors.
Those three monitoring speakers are installed behind our cinema screen (acoustically transparent screen) as LEFT, CENTER and RIGHT channels and are combined with three other JBL LSR speakers (a subwoofer for the LFE channel and 2 rear monitors for the 2 surround channels).
 
One of the characteristics of this model is the RMC™ Room Mode Correction , JBL's exclusive technology that automatically analyzes and corrects the response of each speaker in the room for absolute accuracy at the mix position.

AUTO SHANGHAI 2011

The 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition will be held at the Shanghai new international expo center starting on 21 April 2011.
Our sound designers are currently working on several promotional videos and short films from various prestigious car makers.
Their tasks involve creating dramatic sounds for sports cars and concept vehicles (electric/hybrid cars) as well as the conception of futuristic ambiences.
The mixing of these soundtracks is all done in 5.1 surround.

Touch screen for DAW at KER SOUND Studio Shanghai

TOUCH SCREEN

Our composing room is now equipped with a 22'' touch screen (resolution: 1920x1080) to control its main digital audio workstation (DAW).

Combined with a 30'' (resolution: 2560x1600), it makes the work space really comfortable and controlling virtual instruments CC (Control Change: velocity, modulation, expression) is now much easier while allowing for extremely precise settings and adjustments.

Above these two screens, a 40'' screen allows for film playback from a dedicated workstation, synced to the main DAW.
